Currently, the President of GroupGenesis, LLC, a business management advisory firm formed in 1999 to serve emerging and well-established companies in Central and Southwestern Pennsylvania through financial / general management services as an advisor or a contract CFO, including planning, implementing, managing and funding appropriate and affordable solutions, for their unique business situations.
In 1999, left as the Vice Chairman and COO, having risen from EVP and CFO, of Crown American Realty Trust, a $1Billion market cap New York Stock Exchange REIT focused on building, owning and managing regional malls in the Mid-Atlantic region. During the tenure at Crown, negotiated and executed on nearly $1Billion of debt and $125 Million of Preferred Stock. Prior to joining the public arm of Crown American in 1995 spent two years as the EVP, CFO and COO of Crown Holding Company, a privately held company that mostly builds, owns and manages hotels in the Mid-Atlantic region. Crown Holding Company was 100% owned by the Pasquerilla family.
Between 1976 and 1993, served as the EVP, Secretary and Treasurer of The Penn Traffic Company, a New York Stock Exchange company that owned supermarkets, department stores and food processing operations. During the tenure at Penn Traffic, participated in growing sales from $300 Million to over $6 Billion, acquired three major supermarket companies, completed a leveraged buyout of the company, and completed an IPO / follow-on offerings for over $1Billion of financings.
Between 1969 and 1976, worked up to being an Audit Manager with Price Waterhouse and earned the CPA, CMA and CFM designations. In 1969 received a BA in Business Administration and Accounting from Saint Vincent College, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Presently, serves as a Director of Somerset Trust Company, Quintech Electronics & Communications, Inc., and Laurel Holdings, Inc. (also may periodically serve an advisor / director for several start-up companies in the area) and served as a former Director of Johnstown Savings Bank, and a former Director of Miller Picking Corporation. Civic activities included being the Chairman of Memorial Medial Center of the Conemaugh Health System, the Chairman of Stackhouse Park, a Director/Treasurer of Cambria County Library System, a Director of the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, President of the Johnstown YMCA, and President of the Johnstown Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.
 
Married to Bonnie for 45 years and have two sons and five grandchildren.
